A walk every morning, ice cream on Sundays, snuggling in bed at night with Mum and Dad. Even meeting up with Mum’s friends – despite their little crawling creatures who pull Louie’s ears – aren’t all that bad. But then things get weird – cold food on the floor, no room in the bed, and lots of new stuff coming into the house in pairs: two small beds, two little jumpers, a two-seated buggy. Does that bode double trouble ahead, or could there be a happier surprise in store for Louie?

Tony Fucile is the award-winning author-illustrator of Let’s Do Nothing! and the illustrator of the Bink and Gollie series by Kate DiCamillo and Alison McGhee and two books by Hallie Durand, Mitchell’s License and Mitchell Goes Bowling. He has spent more than twenty years designing and animating characters for numerous feature films, including The Lion King, Inside Out and The Incredibles. Tony Fucile lives in San Francisco, USA with his family.

It is a little cutesy and super sweet at times, but then, those of you who love your dogs like we do in this household are bound to strongly relate, though this would surely be as poignant in any situation in which a new baby sibling is on their way.
