A story about finding your place, with the animals of the Chinese Zodiac.
Little Rabbit is sad. All he wants is a friend, but he is too shy to approach the other animals. Instead, Rabbit watches from the sidelines, playing his music alone while the other animals play together. How will rabbit find the courage to overcome his fears? And will the other animals be able to recognise Rabbit's true qualities?

Melissa Keil was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia. She studied Cinema and Anthropology at uni, and then spent a few more years studiously avoiding getting a real job by dabbling in a bunch of graduate stuff, including Professional Writing and Editing. In between she has been a high school teacher, Middle-Eastern tour guide, waitress, community theatre dogs-body, and IT help-desk person. Now, by day, she is a children’s book editor, and spends most of the rest of her time reading and writing. Rabbit's Year is her first Walker Books Australia title.
Jedda Robaard grew up in a small coastal town in north-west Tasmania. She has studied drawing, printmaking, graphic design and typography, and currently runs an art studio for children. She lives with her family in Ocean Grove on the surf coast of Victoria, and shares her home with many furry and feathered creatures, including one slightly nutty dachshund.
