Creators
Originally from the northern suburbs of Brisbane, Kyle Mewburn is one of New Zealand's most versatile writers. From award-winning picture books (Old-Hu-hu; Kiss!Kiss!Yuck!Yuck) to bestselling junior fiction series (Dinosaur Rescue; Dragon Knight); short stories and essays to memoir and adult historical fiction. Her titles have been translated into eighteen languages and won numerous awards including NZ Children's Book of the Year and a Flicker Tale award in North Dakota. She was also President of the New Zealand Society of Authors (PEN) from 2013-2017.
Lisa Allen is a freelance illustrator & book designer based in Muriwai on Auckland's west coast. With a background in textiles, her work is now based mostly in publishing and she has a variety of distinctly different illustration styles across a range of media. Lisa also works as a children’s librarian at St. Cuthbert’s College.
