Liz Vercoe has loved the written word for as far back in time as she can remember. Published works include the young adult novel “Keep Your Hair On!”, non fiction work “The Grief Book – strategies for young people”, a chapter in “Surviving Cancer – inspiring stories of hope and healing”, and essays, articles and promotional material generally revolving around themes of self empowerment, resilience and humour.
Kerry Abramowski is a qualified social worker, although not a very typical one. Over the years she has run CanTeen Victoria (for teenage cancer patients, siblings and children) and Big Brothers, Big Sisters (for kids needing a bigger person to spend time with), worked for the Salvos, and has her own private practice called Grief Relief.
Reviews
A unique and compassionate guide, which gives people struggling with grief and loss the tools they need to work through their grief. Above all, Elizabeth Vercoe and Kerry Abramowski let young people know that even in their darkest hours they are not alone.
The Grief Book is an outstanding offering for young people, parents and anyone experiencing grief or working with adolescents.
