The Mud Monster
An ideal bath time book that also shows how working together is the best way to get things done!
The Mud Monster is a huge and horrible beast. Everyone knows that it lives in the muddy pond, and everyone is afraid of it. Yet no one has actually seen it. Then one day it appears, causing terror all round. And it has a really amazing variety of shapes. An awful lot of mud has to be washed off before the truth emerges...

Jonnie Wild's interest in conservation was first stimulated by his own children's distress at learning about destruction of the rainforests. He set up the Yorkshire Rainforest project, which planted new forest trees in an Amazon area as big as Yorkshire, and now has similar projects all over the world. He works with environmental scientists at the University of Leeds, supporting collaborative research and action in conserving forest habitats for the benefit of both animals and humans.
