Helga Bansch

Helga Bansch, born 1957 in Leoben, Austria. Helga Bansch was a primary school teacher for 25 years. Since 2000 she has been a freelance artist in Vienna. She has won numerous awards such as the Austrian Children’s and Young People’s Book Prize in 2008 and has exhibitions worldwide. Astrid Lindgren and Wilhelm Busch are among Helga Bansch’s defining role models, who loves to entertain children with humorous stories.
