Anne Fine

Anne Fine is a much loved and acclaimed children’s book author. She has won the Boston Globe Horn Book Award in 2003 for “Stories of Jamie and Angus”, the Carnegie Medal in 1993 for “Flour Babies” (which also won the Whitbread Children’s Novel Award) and in 1990 for “Goggle Eyes”, twice been voted British Book Awards Children’s Author of the Year (1990 and 1993) and was the Children’s Laureate for 2001-2003. Some of her other books include “The Haunting of Pip Parker”, “How to Cross the Road and Not Turn Into a Pizza”,” Care of Henry” and “Nag Club”. Her book “Madame Doubtfire” inspired the internationally successful film “Mrs Doubfire”. She lives in County Durham.
