Chitra Soundar

Chitra Soundar is an internationally published, award-winning author of children’s books, a screenwriter and an oral storyteller. She is also the creator of Nikhil & Jay, a BBC preschool sitcom. Chitra writes chapter books and picture books and her latest picture book with Sandhya Prabhat It’s Time to Hush and Say Goodnight was read by Pixie Lott on CBeebies Bedtime stories. Chitra’s Sona Sharma series of books (illustrated by Jen Khatun) have been shortlisted for the Inclusive Books Award 2024, and included in the Best Books Guide curated by Booktrust.
