Jeanne Willis
Jeanne Willis worked as an advertising copywriter and had her first book published when she was twenty-one. After her successful career working in advertising, Jeanne became a fulltime author, writing picture books, poetry, television scripts and novels for children and she has now written more than 80 titles. Her teenage novel “Naked Without a Hat” was short listed for the 2003 Whitbread Children’s Book Award and “Dumb Creatures” was long listed for the 2005 Carnegie Medal. Jeanne’s latest book, “Shamanka” follows, Sam on her thrilling quest to discover the meaning of magic – and uncover the secrets behind famous magic tricks, illusions and other mysterious skills, along the way in an innovative blend of narrative and notebook. She is married with two children and lives in London.
